Addressing the parliament in Turkey, President Obama recently said, "We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world - including my own country.”
Putting aside for the moment the 3,000 people killed in the Twin Towers on 9/11, as well as numerous murderous bombings in the Middle East, not to mention the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, while turning a blind eye to thwarted follow-up attacks in the United States, and totally ignoring all of the immigrant muslim fathers who have murdered their daughters for behaving like American teenagers, Obama said reassuringly that America “is not and never will be at war with Islam...the United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans.”
Today, muslims made still another contribution to America's well-being, this time involuntarily. They provided valuable target practice to Navy Seal sharpshooters, who killed three of the four pirates holding an American merchant ship captain in the Gulf of Aden.
The fourth pirate was captured, giving him a chance to make even further contributions to the future of America by volunteering information on the operations of Somalia's pirate-friendly culture.
Kumbaya, anyone?
