New York gives go-ahead to Ground Zero mosque
New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission voted 9-0, in favor of a mosque near the site of the Twin Towers, which were destroyed in the 9/11 attacks. The vote removed the last obstacle to building the mosque. Pamela Geller: "I shouted, 'shame on you' and was joined by many others. Daisy Khan gloated and applauded gleefully. I find Imam Rauf and Daisy Khan's callousness towards the pain and grief they are causing to be radically intolerant."
